Swiss Alps

European summer camp experience

International Camp Suisse offers your child an action-packed, unforgettable summer in the spectacular Swiss Alps. We develop skills, knowledge and understanding in sport, languages, team work, culture and outdoor pursuits; all in a fun and enriching environment. It is a challenging and constructive experience of learning, discovery and development shared with like-minded individuals from a range of backgrounds and cultures.

Camp Location

International Camp Suisse has a picturesque base at an altitude of 1100m, which provides unique unlimited access to the mountains and lakes of the surrounding area.

Culture & Education

Our supervised excursions allow our Campers to experience first-hand Swiss and European culture. Popular trips include the Matterhorn, the chocolate and cheese factories of Gruyères, the Olympic museum in Lausanne, Geneva, (United Nations, Red Cross and Amnesty International museums), Montreux (jazz festival in first two weeks of July and Chateau de Chillon), the salt mines at Bex, Europe's largest underground lake at St-Leonard and the alpine zoo and rock pool of Les Marecottes.

Camp Suisse is an English-speaking Camp although Campers are welcome to practise the language of their choice with their friends. French is widely spoken around the Camp. The program automatically includes 8 hours per week of language courses devoted to Spanish, French, Italian, English as a second language or German. The focus is on practical conversation and confidence building, and classes are available at beginner, intermediate or advanced levels. Audio visual aids and modern communication techniques are used and full participation is encouraged. Our language teachers are heavily involved in all the activities and excursions to maximise learning opportunities for campers outside the classroom.

Our sports program aims to enhance skills and confidence at both an individual and team level, as well as improving physical strength and fitness. On-site sports facilities include in-door climbing wall, three tennis courts, archery range, sports hall for football, hockey, basketball and badminton, outdoor football pitch, table tennis room, snooker room, pool table, outdoor swimming pool.

Outdoor Pursuits

International Camp Suisse develops confidence and abilities in a range of outdoor pursuits, including horse riding, mountain biking, rock climbing, river rafting, team building games, 'Adventure Park' (course of zip wires and tree top challenges), activities on the glacier (snow-shoeing, alpine rollercoaster, husky dog-sledding), hiking and camping (at our picturesque alpine outpost, including lessons in camp craft, outdoor cooking, first aid and map reading).

Just for Fun

Some pursuits are aimed simply at having fun! Aquaparc (Europe's largest indoor theme park), picnic and sailing on Lake Geneva, the 'Adventure Labyrinth' maze and outdoor games, group quizzes and competitions, banana boating, bingo, casino nights, 'Fun Planet' (go-Karting, climbing, bowling etc..), pizza making, barbeques and camp fire games, thermal outdoor spas.
